How it Works
The Initial Evaluation: Every new swimmer begins with a comprehensive evaluation. This allows us to precisely gauge each swimmer's current skillset and map out their training goals.
Skill-Matched Lanes: Based on their evaluation, swimmers are assigned to a program level and lane with peers of similar abilities. Our instructors deliver a tailored program within each lane, balancing precise stroke refinement with stamina and strength building. As your swimmer improves, their program progresses with them.
Continuous Progress Tracking: Improvement is a journey, not a destination. We set aside dedicated training sessions for ongoing video analysis. As your swimmer progresses, coaches will record their strokes to visually track development, celebrate milestones, and make precise adjustments to their training program.
Beginner Swim Lessons Ages 4-18
The foundation of every great swimmer starts here. Our individual and small group lessons focus on water safety, comfort, and the fundamental skills needed to transition from the steps to the deep end. Our Swim Lessons are specifically designed for beginners, focusing on essential water safety skills and fundamental techniques. We prioritize making our swimmers "water safe" in a supportive environment, ensuring that every student develops a lifelong comfort and respect for the water while mastering the basics of swimming.
It’s about more than just technique; it’s about building a fearless relationship with the water.
** Beginner 1 'Learn to Swim' Lessons will be offered again in May, 2027.
Beginner 1 - Learn to Swim
One to One Swim Lessons
Perfect for first-time swimmers and those still developing basic water comfort. Beginner 1 introduces swimmers to the water, builds confidence, water safety and and teaches essential foundational skills.
Beginner 2 - Independent Swimmer
Small Group Lessons
Swimmers must be able to swim ONE length of the pool (25 yrds) continuously & unassisted by any stroke without physical assistance from a person or a flotation device, or stopping at the wall or lane line. Beginner 2 swimmers should be water safe.
Stroke Development Ages 6-18
Our Stroke Development program bridges the gap between traditional swim lessons and competitive swimming. Designed for independent swimmers who are ready to move beyond basic water safety, this progressive small-group program builds strong technique, confidence, endurance, and efficient swimming habits. Swimmers develop proper mechanics for all four competitive strokes while learning starts, turns, and effective training skills. Through personalized coaching, advanced technique drills, and professional video analysis, our instructors identify opportunities for improvement and help each swimmer refine technique, increase strength and stamina, and swim with greater speed and efficiency. Whether the goal is to prepare for a summer swim team, join a year-round club, or simply become a stronger, more confident swimmer, Stroke Development provides the technical foundation for long-term success in the water.
Program Levels
Foundation (Ages 6–18): For swimmers who can swim 50 yards (2 continuous lengths) unassisted by any stroke and are ready to learn proper technique for all four competitive strokes.
Advanced (Ages 10–18): For swimmers who have mastered the fundamentals, can comfortably complete a 200 Individual Medley (200 IM), and are ready for advanced technique, starts, turns, race skills, and endurance training.
ALL Stroke Development participants should bring goggles and swim fins to every session.
