LOGAN BUSTEED

Logan’s Just Swim journey began when he was 12 years old. He swam with Just Swim in their summer swim league through age 19, while also competing for the Palisades High School swim team, where he and his relay teammates qualified for regionals.  As Logan approached his final year as a Just Swim swimmer, he began thinking about how he could continue being part of the program. That led him to the idea of joining the coaching staff. He quickly discovered how much he enjoyed working with younger swimmers and teaching them the skills that had helped him grow throughout his own time with Just Swim.

For Logan, coaching is about more than teaching swimming. He enjoys encouraging young swimmers, helping them build confidence, and being someone they can look up to as they develop both in and out of the pool. Having grown up in the Just Swim program himself, Logan understands firsthand the impact a positive coach and supportive swim community can have on a young swimmer.

Outside of Just Swim, Logan earned his associate degree in Mechatronics and is currently completing the final year of an apprenticeship program to become a Field Service Technician. He hopes to build a career that allows him to travel and service machinery around the country.  Logan is also passionate about fitness and competes in powerlifting. He is working toward competing at the state level, with the long-term goal of reaching national competition.

Logan is proud to now give back to the program that played such an important role in his own life and looks forward to helping the next generation of Just Swim swimmers discover the same confidence, skills, and love of swimming that he found in the pool.
