KADEN HARRIS
Whether it’s early morning practice or race day on the block, Kaden is always at home in the water. Beginning his swim career at 9 years old, Kaden has grown into a dedicated and accomplished competitive swimmer with the Planters Walk Waves, Phillip O Berry High School, and Queen City Dolphins (QCD). Through years of training and determination, he has earned the title of Greater Metro 6A High School 50-meter freestyle Champion, highlighting his speed and competitive edge. Kaden swims year-round with QCD, competes with the Philip O. Berry High School swim team, and swims with the Planters Walk Waves, continuing to build on nearly a decade of experience, passion, and commitment to the sport of swimming.
As a Boy Scout, Kaden has learned the value of Scouting's mission statement "Be Prepared", and applies that mission statement to all aspects of life. As a sophomore honor roll student, Kaden has big plans for his future - studying marine biology. His love for animals, passion for water and strong desire to give back to his community are the perfect formula for a career as a Marine Biologist. No matter what he tackles, Kaden gives 110% effort. Realizing the positive impacts that swim has had on his life, Kaden realized it was time to give bac, to the sport. Joining Just Swim this spring as a Junior Coach, Kaden has loved giving back to the sport by helping younger swimmers develop their skills, build confidence in the water, and grow their love for swimming.
COLIN WASCHER
It's no surprise, coming from a family of breaststrokers, that Colin would become one himself. Having spent the entirety of his life around water, Colin learned at a young age what it means to be a team-player, the importance of good sportsmanship, and the need to set goals and strive to achieve them. A member of both the Palisades High School Pumas and Planters Walk Waves swim teams, Colin pushes to best himself each and every time he gets into the water. Colin follows his coach's mantra "Chase Times, Not People", remembering the importance of always striving for your best and focusing on being better today than you were yesterday.
And why waste time on only one sport? Colin is an avid skier as well as golfer on the Palisades Golf team.
As if he isn't busy enough, Colin is a recent Eagle Scout, crediting his Scouting journey for helping to shape the young man he is today. Continuing to be an active member of his Troop, he is "paying it forward", serving as Den Chief and Troop Guide to mentor the younger boys in the Troop and teach them the valuable life skills that he learned. When Colin does find bit of downtime, you'd better look for him in the kitchen. As an amateur chef, Colin has delighted countless friends & family with his delectable entrees, mouthwatering desserts and artistic plating. Looking towards the future, Colin is planning a career in finance and economics, with the goal of working on global economics. Already getting a jump start on college as a student at Harper Middle College is no surprise, given his drive for success.
EMERSYN BREUER
Emersyn Breuer started swimming in 2023 when she joined the Crossings summer swim team. She later joined the Palisades High School varsity swim team as a freshman, where her favorite event is the 200 freestyle. In addition to swimming, Emersyn is also a member of the Palisades varsity golf team.
As a Junior Coach with Just Swim, Emersyn brings energy, positivity, and confidence to the pool deck. She loves sharing what she has learned with younger swimmers and enjoys watching their progress and confidence grow in the water. Emersyn is dedicated to making swimming fun and encouraging for the next generation of swimmers while helping athletes build both skills and a love for the sport.
Outside of the pool, Emersyn enjoys reading and performing aerial silks, which she has practiced for seven years. She also loves baking with her friend Amelia — even if they admit they are “not very good” at it. Emersyn has a strong passion for medicine and aspires to become a travel Physician Associate. She was nominated for the “Congress of Future Medical Leaders,” an honors program that recognizes students across the country who aspire to careers as doctors and medical engineers.

DANI HAWTHORNE
If you don’t find Dani around a swimming pool, then you’re not looking hard enough. Starting a swim career in 2019, Dani quickly excelled as a competitive swimmer for both Palisades High School Pumas and the Planters Walk Waves. As a high school swimmer, Dani competed on Palisades HS relay teams at the NCHSAA Western 4A Regionals swim meet as a backstroker. Planters Walk Waves coaches soon recognized Dani’s exceptional ability to connect with younger swimmers, leading to an invitation to become a Junior Coach for the past five years. Still not having spent enough time around the water, Dani added lifeguarding to the resume, earning a promotion to a managerial guard position after only one year.
Outside of the pool, Dani excels in music, having mastered eight instruments with no plans to stop anytime soon. A member of Palisades's Orchestra, Concert Band, Marching Band & Wind Ensemble, Dani brings heart, dedication, and the drive for success to another level in the music program. With a bright future ahead as a high school music teacher, college acceptance letters and scholarship offers are already rolling in. No matter the challenge, Dani is always ready to dive in.
AMELIA ROBINSON
Amelia Robinson has been swimming for most of her life and began competing at the age of seven. She is a competitive swimmer with SwimMAC Carolina, where she has continued to grow her skills and passion for the sport. Amelia’s favorite event is the Individual Medley (IM), and she is excited to continue her swimming journey this fall as a member of the Palisades High School swim team.
As a Junior Coach with Just Swim, Amelia brings enthusiasm, encouragement, and a positive attitude to the pool deck. She enjoys helping younger swimmers learn new skills, gain confidence in the water, and most importantly, have fun while swimming. Amelia loves being part of an environment where swimmers can grow both as athletes and teammates.
Outside of swimming, Amelia enjoys science, spending time with friends, and looking forward to summer vacation and the end of middle school. She and her friend Emersyn also enjoy baking together whenever they have free time — even if they admit they are “not really good bakers.”
